PDVSA Trust Seeks High Court Review Over Rejected Hacking Suit

The U.S. Supreme Court should reject a rule that an argument can’t be raised in a footnote, a litigation trust attempting to revive its lawsuit over an alleged hacking scheme targeting Venezuelan state-owned oil company Petróleos de Venezuela SA said, in a petition for review.

PDVSA U.S. Litigation Trust said the high court should instead find that appellate briefs can be read “liberally so that cases can be decided on the merits wherever reasonably possible.”
