Outdoor retailer Patagonia Works is preparing to go to court to challenge the Trump administration’s new Endangered Species Act regulations.
The company notified the Interior and Commerce departments on Oct. 30 that it will file suit in 60 days if the agencies don’t withdraw a suite of revised ESA regulations that change how the government protects rare plants and animals.
Ventura, Calif.-based Patagonia says the changes “not only violate the plain language of the statute, but will make it more difficult to protect animal and plant species and their habitats.”
