Oregon County Group Votes to Withdraw
From Klamath River Basin Water Agreement

SEATTLE—One of 42 signatory parties to an agreement calling for the removal of four hydroelectric dams on the Klamath River has voted to withdraw from the agreement.

Commissioners in Klamath County, Ore., voted Feb. 26 to withdraw from the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement, a pact designed to balance the water rights and concerns of tribes, irrigators, government agencies, and conservation organizations for the river that rises in south central Oregon and flows into northern California.
