Oil giants Exxon Mobil Corp., BP PLC, and others won’t be able to reargue their appeal in Baltimore’s climate liability case, according to an order issued Tuesday.
The companies asked the Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for an en banc rehearing in BP PLC v. Baltimore, but the panel denied the bid after sending the petition to a full suite of judges.
