Democratic members of Congress are calling on a federal court to shut down the Dakota Access pipeline, which has been at the center of a legal and political firestorm for years.
House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) led dozens of lawmakers in a proposed brief Wednesday the U.S. District Court the District of Columbia to halt operations for the more than 1,200-mile oil project.
