New Mexico agreed to drop its claims against the Environmental Protection Agency in its dispute over a mine cleanup, according to a stipulation of voluntary dismissal filed in federal court.
New Mexico sued Sunnyside Gold Corp. and the EPA in 2016, claiming that EPA contractors triggered the release of more than 3 million gallons of wastewater and sediment from the Gold King Mine while investigating the site in 2015.
