Michigan Dems Press Congress to Address PFAS in Defense Bill (1)

A group of House members from Michigan is hoping a family of ubiquitous chemicals, contaminating drinking water across their state, will be cleaned up and restricted through a national defense bill—but they’re also considering an alternative.

Democratic Michigan Reps. Dan Kildee, Andy Levin, and Debbie Dingell are pressing their House and Senate colleagues to keep provisions regarding poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the National Defense Authorization Act.
