Measure to Roll Back Trump Methane Changes Approved as Vote Set

The House will vote during the week of June 22 on a measure that would reinstate an Obama-era regulation limiting harmful methane emissions from oil and gas drilling.

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) sent a letter Thursday with plans for the floor vote on S. J. Res. 14, which the Senate passed in April. The announcement came as the House Energy and Commerce Committee approved 30-22 a Democratic-sponsored measure (H. J. Res. 34) identical to the Senate resolution.
