Keystone XL Faces New Challenge Over Federal Land Crossing (1)

Environmental groups opened a new line of attack against the Keystone XL pipeline Tuesday in a lawsuit challenging a federal right-of-way for the project.

The Sierra Club, the Center for Biological Diversity, and others filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana, accusing the Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management of approving Keystone XL’s route across 44 miles of federal lands in that state without complying with environmental laws.
