Judge Sends Oil Giants’ Climate Case to Washington, D.C., Court

A Washington, D.C., district judge scrapped oil giants’ bid to keep a climate consumer protection case in federal court, tossing the suit back to local jurisdiction on Saturday.

Oil company arguments that Washington, D.C., claims implicate federal interests fail on multiple levels, according to Judge Timothy J. Kelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
