Israel Chemicals Ltd. Faces $110 Million Suit Over Nature Reserve Spill

Israel is seeking 397 million shekels ($110 million) in damages from a subsidiary of Israel Chemicals Ltd. in an unprecedented civil claim arising from the collapse of a phosphate storage pool that released more than 100 million cubic meters of toxic sludge into a protected nature reserve.

“This case sets a precedent.
