Inhofe Bill Would Bar Climate Impact Analysis
Under National Environmental Policy Act

Sen. James M. Inhofe (R-Okla.) has introduced a bill to specify that federal agencies should not take into account greenhouse gas emissions when assessing the environmental impact of federally supported projects under the National Environmental Policy Act.

Inhofe’s NEPA Certainty Act (S. 3230), introduced April 20, drew six co-sponsors, all Republicans—Sens. John Barrasso of Wyoming, Bob Bennett of Utah, Mike Enzi of Wyoming, James E. Risch of Idaho, Pat Roberts of Kansas, and David Vitter of Louisiana.
