House Republicans Put Hold on Pipeline Safety Funding Bill

Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) has a laundry list of flaws he sees in the House’s early draft of funding legislation for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.

The agency’s funding was last reauthorized three years ago, and is due for reauthorization this year. The process is starting this year with an unnumbered bill the House Committee on Energy and Commerce’s energy subcommittee considered at a hearing June 19.
