House Passes Disaster Bill With Added Flood Insurance Extension

A $19 billion disaster relief bill has cleared Congress with an attached provision that extends the expiration date of the National Flood Insurance Program through the end of September.

The bill, H.R. 2157, passed the House on a 354-58 vote June 3. It passed the Senate last month on an 85-8 vote. President Donald Trump has indicated he would sign this bill.
