House Passes Bill to Protect Colorado Public Land From Drilling (1)

The House has passed a bill to prohibit oil and gas drilling on hundreds of thousands of acres in Colorado, the third Democratic-led measure this week intended to protect public lands from development.

The Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy (CORE) Act (H.R. 823) passed 227-182 on Oct. 31, a move overshadowed by the closely watched vote to begin open hearings in the President Donald Trump impeachment inquiry.
