A bipartisan group of lawmakers are seeking to attach House-approved legislation targeting so-called forever chemicals to a defense authorization bill.
Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Mich.), joined by Reps. Bill Posey (R-Fl.), Ann McLane Kuster (D-N.H.), Fred Upton (R-Mich.), Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.), Brian Mast (R-Fl.), and Mike Gallagher (R-Wisc.) filed the PFAS Action Act on Monday as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for 2021 (H.R. 6395). The House approved the PFAS measure Jan. 10, but the legislation didn’t move in the Senate.
