House Appropriators Signal Support for More Water Funds

Congress will approve more money for water infrastructure projects than the Trump administration requested, if recent history and the remarks of Republicans and Democrats during a May 24 hearing are any indication.

The Trump administration requested $5 billion for the work of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in fiscal year 2018, down from more than $6 billion approved for fiscal 2017.
