House Advances Endangered Species, Climate Bills

House Natural Resources Committee Democrats advanced bills that aim to protect wildlife from climate change and reverse some of the Trump administration’s endangered species rules.

The committee on Wednesday advanced nine bills to the full House, largely on party-line votes. They’re expected to get votes in the House this spring, Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.), the committee chairman, said.

Among them was the Protect America’s Wildlife and Fish in Need of Conservation Act (H.R. 4348), sponsored by Grijalva, which would nullify several new Trump administration rules for endangered species.
