Home Depot, W.M. Barr Sued Over Methylene Chloride Burn Injuries

Home Depot USA Inc. and W.M. Barr & Co. were hit with claims by a Florida man over the manufacture and sale of a floor stripper containing methylene chloride that allegedly burned him after he became dizzy and fell into the product.

Stanley Gladstone alleges that Barr manufactured the product, Jasco Premium Paint & Epoxy Remover, which he purchased from a Home Depot store in Davie, Fla., in December 2018.

Gladstone alleges he bought the product based on the advice and recommendation of the Home Depot employee.
