New York’s and Hawaii’s Democratic governors yesterday each opened new efforts in their states’ battle against climate change, just days after the US Supreme Court restricted the EPA’s authority to regulate emissions nationwide.
“Here in New York, we are not going to let the Supreme Court block our goals,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said upon signing three new measures into law. Hawaii Gov. David Ige echoed that rhetoric as well.
