Grijalva Threatens to Subpoena BLM Headquarter Move Documents

Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) on Tuesday told Bureau of Land Management acting director William Perry Pendley that the administration’s refusal to produce documents about the BLM’s headquarters move West may soon result in a subpoena.

The Interior Department has produced reams of documents unrelated to the House Natural Resources Committee’s requests for information about the move, Grijalva told Pendley during a House Natural Resources subcommittee hearing.

“I think the subpoena is not only appropriate, it’s necessary because we’re not getting any real answers,” Grijalva said.
