Fracking Impact on Wayne National Forest Needs Another Look

The U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management failed to take into account all necessary environmental impacts of fracking in the Wayne National Forest in Southeast Ohio before issuing drilling permits, the Southern District of Ohio said Friday.

The agencies neglected to take a hard look at surface area disturbance, the impacts on the Indiana Bat and Little Muskingum River, and impacts on air quality, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio said.
