The US Forest Service is immune from a suit over its decisions over how and who to warn about imminent wildfire damage, the 9th Circuit ruled.
The agency engaged in a “multi-faceted communication strategy” that involved using websites, social media, and in-person events to warn the residents of Lolo, Mont., where many people had internet access, according to the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
