Fluorinated Chemical Activists Share Spotlight at State of the Union

A senator and two representatives will highlight communities’ struggles with a persistent group of chemicals contaminating water supplies by inviting local health advocates to join them at the State of the Union address Feb. 5.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Rep. Dan Kildee (D-Mich.), and Rep. Antonio Delgado (D-N.Y.) will bring representatives from affected communities in their districts in the hopes of spurring national action to address the contaminants per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances.
