Sept. 18, 2018, 7:36 PM

The EPA’s top air official is pledging to limit his interactions with more than three dozen utilities, energy companies, and industry trade groups that he previously represented in court.

Bill Wehrum, assistant administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Air and Radiation, said in a recusal letter released Sept. 18 that he won’t meet one-on-one with former clients he represented in the past two years.

He also won’t participate in a number of lawsuits in which he was involved during his time at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, formerly Hunton & Williams LLP
