EU Adds Eight Chemicals to Watchlist for Potential Phaseout (1)

The European Chemicals Agency on Thursday added eight substances to a watchlist of chemicals that could be phased out from use in the European Union.

They include solvents, chemicals used in polymer production, cosmetics ingredients, and a flame retardant. They’ve been tagged as carcinogenic, harmful to reproduction, endocrine disrupting, or causing breathing difficulties.
