A senior EPA attorney who joined the agency last year will help oversee implementation of the nation’s industrial chemicals and pesticide laws.
Erik Baptist, senior deputy general counsel, is joining the EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention as a deputy assistant administrator and senior counsel, Nancy Beck said in a May 21 staff memo obtained by Bloomberg Environment.
“Erik’s expertise and legal knowledge will greatly complement existing skill sets within the office,” wrote Beck, deputy assistant administrator of the chemical safety office.
