EPA Sets Next Two-Year Plan for Superfund Program (1)

The EPA is continuing its emphasis on quick Superfund cleanup and redevelopment with a new set of performance measures following the end of its two-year task force.

The performance measures resemble the Environmental Protection Agency’s former Superfund task force priorities, which emphasized quicker site cleanup and a path to redevelopment.

The agency plans to track the number of sites that are redeveloped, number of community-involved redevelopment plans, and number of sites deleted from the EPA’s National Priorities List, among other metrics that would help the agency determine the success of the program.
