EPA Seeks Lawyers’ Help Implementing Superfund Changes

The EPA is seeking lawyers’ help to ensure the agency’s multi-year Superfund overhaul efforts don’t fall flat in the real world, an agency official said June 12.

Peter Wright, special adviser to the Environmental Protection Agency’s administrator on Superfund issues, spoke June 12 to an American Bar Association conference for environmental lawyers and consultants in Atlanta. He said some of the agency’s past Superfund guidance had “almost been forgotten about,” and wants to avoid having the same issue with new guidance to be released this year.
