EPA Science Adviser, Head of Mission Support Both Retiring (1)

Two of the EPA’s most prominent female officials are retiring on July 31, according to a Thursday internal email reviewed by Bloomberg Law.

Stepping down are Jennifer Orme-Zavaleta, the Environmental Protection Agency’s science adviser and principal deputy assistant administrator for research and development; and Donna Vizian, the agency’s principal deputy assistant administrator for mission support.

In their places, Wayne Cascio will become acting principal deputy assistant administrator for research and development, and Lynnann Hitchens will become acting principal deputy assistant administrator for the Office of Mission Support, according to an email from Janet McCabe, EPA’s deputy administrator.
