EPA Rescinds Trump Effort That Targeted Agency Guidance

The EPA on Wednesday rescinded a Trump administration rule from October that made it more difficult for the agency to issue voluntary guidance documents.

The final action puts the final touches on the Biden administration’s effort to revoke the agency’s Oct. 18 rulemaking and “restores EPA’s ability to provide timely guidance on which the public can confidently rely,” the agency said. The rule will take effect when published in the Federal Register.
