EPA Releases Millions in Grants for Community Air Monitoring

The Environmental Protection Agency will award $20 million in funds for community air monitoring effort, the largest agency investment of its kind, according to a Monday announcement.

Grants will be awarded through a competitive application process “to enhance ambient air quality monitoring in communities across the United States” with a focus on those overburdened with criteria and hazardous air pollution like particulate matter and benzene.
