EPA Must Control Polymers and Resins Emissions, Lawsuit Says

The Environmental Protection Agency has failed to limit emissions from polymers and resins facilities in violation of the Clean Air Act, environmental and citizens’ groups told a Washington, D.C., federal court Thursday.

The EPA is required to review and update emissions standards for such facilities every eight years, according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The facilities emit several dangerous air pollutants, including chloroprene, ethylene oxide, and formaldehyde, the lawsuit says.
