EPA Moves Closer to Easing Air Quality Monitoring Requirements

The EPA is one step away from releasing long-awaited updates to its guidance on air quality monitoring that would ease requirements for petroleum refineries and other large manufacturing plants.

The White House Office of Management and Budget began its review of “ambient air” guidance (RIN:2060-ZA28) after receiving it from the Environmental Protection Agency on Sept. 26. An interagency review at the OMB usually represents the last step before the agency releases guidance, policy, or rules to the public.
