EPA Last Inspected Flooded Arkema Plant in 2003

It’s been 14 years since EPA inspectors last visited an Arkema Corp. facility in Crosby, Texas, that saw chemical explosions caused by flooding from Hurricane Harvey, a company official told Bloomberg BNA.

Arkema spokesman Stan Howard, and David Gray, a spokesman for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Region 6 office in Dallas, both said the plant was last inspected under the agency’s risk management program in 2003.
