The long-delayed bill providing fiscal 2020 funding for the EPA and Interior Department was unanimously approved by the Senate Appropriations Committee on Sept. 26.
It would give a significant boost in environmental and conservation funding, only days before current funding expires.
The Senate’s $35.8 billion Interior-environment spending measure would hike EPA funding $161 million over its current budget to $9.01 billion in fiscal 2020, a 2% increase.
