Environmentalists Sue Over Feeding Birds GMOs in Wildlife Refuges

Two environmental organizations plan to take the Trump administration to court for allowing national wildlife refuge managers to feed birds with genetically engineered and pesticide-treated corn.

The Aug. 8 notice of intent to sue from the Center for Food Safety and the Center for Biological Diversity alleges that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service violated the Endangered Species Act when it reversed a 2014 ban on grain from genetically modified seeds or seeds treated with neonicotinoid pesticides, which are linked to declining pollinator health.
