Environmental Groups Lose Effort to Block Grizzly Bear Killings

Many checks are in place to ensure the killing of grizzly bears, especially females, won’t suddenly increase, a Washington federal court said in denying a motion by environmental groups to enjoin grizzly bear killings.

The groups’ delay in bringing their lawsuit and seeking a preliminary injunction also undermines their argument that they will be irreparably harmed without it, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said.
