Environmentalists Threaten Sweeping Endangered Species Suit (1)

Environmentalists are preparing what could be one of the biggest Endangered Species Act lawsuits ever, seeking protections for more than 200 at-risk animals and plants.

The Center for Biological Diversity on Nov. 20 notified the Trump administration it plans to go to court in 60 days to force the Fish and Wildlife Service to follow through on a 2016 workplan to address a backlog of more than 500 species awaiting final decisions on federal protections.
