Energy Research Agency Nominee Avoids Climate Change Stance

Linda Capuano, the nominee to be administrator of the Energy Information Administration, told lawmakers Dec. 5 she is not taking a position on climate change: “For me to take a position would introduce a bias.”

Capuano faced questions on climate change from Democrats during her Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee confirmation hearing. Capuano is President Donald Trump’s pick to be head of the independent statistical research arm of the Energy Department.
