Energy Dept. to Review Trump Rules on Energy Efficiency, Showers

The Energy Department will review several rules on energy efficiency standards for appliances issued by the Trump administration, according to a memo made public by the agency Friday.

  • NOTE: Rules being reviewed include mandatory energy efficiency standards for products such as furnaces, water heaters, clothes washers and dryers, shower heads, dishwashers, and certain light bulbs
  • NOTE: Environmentalists had been critical of rules as being too industry friendly
