ENERGY BRIEFING: House Advances PFAS Proposals in Defense Bill

The House will look to complete consideration of its fiscal 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 6395) today, after approving an amendment from several Democrats that would require PFAS manufacturers to disclose all discharges of “forever” chemicals over 100 pounds to the EPA for inclusion in the Toxics Release Inventory.

The amendment, sponsored by Rep. Antonio Delgado (D-N.Y.), clarifies language in the fiscal 2020 defense policy measure.
