ENERGY BRIEFING: Democrats Push $1.5 Trillion for Infrastructure

House Democrats pitched a $1.5 trillion plan to rebuild the nation’s infrastructure yesterday and urged President Donald Trump to immediately engage in negotiations on how to pay for it.

The House is scheduled to vote on the plan before the July 4 recess, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that she hopes bipartisan interest in rebuilding crumbling roads, bridges, water systems and other infrastructure prevails over the political inertia that has stalled action on the long-discussed issue.
