Endangered Species Information Suit Draws Questions From Judges

A panel of federal judges seemed skeptical Monday of the alleged harm suffered by a conservation group seeking to force the federal government to release more details about a program that guides decisions for the review of protected animals and plants.

The Center for Biological Diversity’s lawsuit says the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service failed to publish the Species Status Assessment program’s guidelines in the Federal Register and allow public comment as required under the Endangered Species Act.
