Enbridge Line 5 Temporarily Shut Down by Michigan Court (2)

Enbridge Inc. must shut down its dual gas and oil Line 5 pipeline that crosses the lake bed between Lakes Michigan and Huron while the company conducts an investigation into damage discovered earlier this month, a Michigan court ruled Thursday.

The Ingham County Circuit Court granted the state’s request for a temporary restraining order seeking to close the line that connects the Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula, according to the court’s docket.
