Dupont Loses Third Teflon Chemical Trial; Chemours Falls

DuPont Co. was found liable for causing a man’s testicular cancer, the third consecutive verdict against the company as juries begin to hear 3,500 lawsuits over a Teflon chemical found in Ohio and West Virginia water supplies. Chemours Co., spun off last year, is supposed to bear the cost.

A jury in Columbus, Ohio, awarded $2 million in compensatory damages to Kenneth Vigneron, 56, activist group Keep Your Promises DuPont said in an e-mail Dec. 21.
