DuPont, Chemours Drawn Into Arizona City’s PFAS Dispute (1)

The city of Tempe, Ariz., is asking a federal district court in South Carolina to hold Chemours Co., E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., DuPont de Nemours Inc., and Corteva Inc. jointly and severally liable for the PFAS chemicals contaminating its drinking water.

The complaint, filed Thursday, is part of multidistrict litigation in U.S. District Court in the District of South Carolina. The city said the DuPont spinoff that formed Chemours and Corteva left Chemours unable to cover its PFAS liabilities.
