Don’t Sunset Online Archive Next Month, Groups Urge EPA (1)

A coalition of 21 environmental and government watchdog groups called on the EPA on Monday to stop plans to sunset its online archive in July.

The retirement of the archive “reduces the public’s ability to access important information about critical environmental issues, as well as past and present agency activities, policies, and priorities,” the groups wrote.

They further said the Environmental Protection Agency offered no public explanations or public comment period before making its decision, and that the move forces the public to rely on third-party organizations that may not follow federal data integrity ...
