Don’t Overreach, EPA Enforcement Head Warns Next Administration

The EPA’s top enforcement official has some advice for the next administration: Don’t overstep.

Speaking at a virtual Federalist Society event on Monday, Susan Parker Bodine didn’t directly address President-elect Joe Biden’s victory—which President Donald Trump is still disputing—but instead offered general remarks about how her successors should approach their job.

“I don’t think the courts are going to allow the next administration to exceed their statutory authority to regulate,” Bodine said, warning future Environmental Protection Agency officials against overestimating their power.
