The Department of Energy has launched the Grid Deployment Office and the Office of State and Community Energy Programs to direct the investment of $23 billion to advance the energy grid and clean energy projects, according to DOE Wednesday.
The Grid Deployment Office, which will be led by Maria Robinson, will invest $17 billion to identify and address national transmission, distribution, and clean generation needs, the department said.
The Office of State and Community Energy Programs, with Henry McKoy as director, aims to accelerate clean energy technology deployment, according to the department.
